The factors that impact export time are the Frames Per Second (FPS), resolution, and file format (GIF vs. MP4), not the compression level. So, when you're setting compression for your project, know that it won't lengthen your export time. Video compression is the process of making video files smaller while maintaining quality, allowing for efficient storage and transmission.

Output Size (Resolution)

Speaking of resolution, it's critical to consider your target audience and platform before selecting it. For example, a 4K resolution export will take four times longer than exporting the same project in HD. While 4K provides more details and a higher quality image, ask yourself: "Do I really need 4K?" If your audience is mainly viewing content on smartphones or tablets, or if you're uploading to a platform that doesn't support 4K, the extra export time may not translate into noticeable benefits for your viewers.

Export as (File Format)

We do not recommend creating GIFs that are longer than 1 minute due to the significantly longer export times and large file sizes.
